I just received this vehicle as a gift, however it needs to have the ball joints replaced.|||I am assuming that you are talking about a 1997 (AWD) all wheel drive and if so then here is what you are asking and its a big job.
The front upper joints come with the control arms and one is $531.28 and the other one is $489.76, the lower ones run $107.98 each that is the factory ford ones but you might be able to find aftermarket ones for around $40.00 each on an average.
The labor book time will be 8.4 hours including a 4-wheel alignment at whatever your local hometown labor rate is.
