What is the best way to change a lower ball joint?

I am replacing a lower ball joint on a 98 blazer 4X4 and the stock ball joints are riveted in. What is the best way to get that rivet or weld busted and off in order it install the new ones? Also what is the fastest way to do the hole project?

4 inch grinder and be careful not to cut the A arm . Using a die grinder or air chisel take a very long time . Grind the heads off of one side of rivet then drive them thru with center punch .

if u have the room grind the head off of the rivets and then knock them out with a punch
grinder and a big hammer

way most do it

grind off as much as you can might even air chisel them off or chisel and hammer can do it just harder and longer that way

not much any easy way other than
First things first you take off the undercarriage. Then after that your going to want to put some lube on your hands. Then make a slight incision between the left and right tire right down the seam.

or just use ky
Can of spray lube, I use drill and drill bits, start with a small bit then work youre way to the big bit then use a brass punch the pop off with not problems.

Good Luck.
